Participants are encouraged to explore the city by taking one of the many Canal Cruises, which are the most popular tourist attraction in the city, and an amazing way to become acquainted with the different monuments of Amsterdam. For a visit to a museum more erotic in nature, Amsterdam also has two sex museums, one in the Red Light District and the other a block from the Central Station on Damrak. One of the more popular historic sites to visit in Amsterdam is the House of Anne Frank, which was the hiding place of her family for two years. Day Four: Amsterdam/Bruges Tuesday, October 12
We leave Amsterdam and transfer by coach to Bruges, where we will check in to the hotel, followed by a Hot Buttered Rum show.
Before leaving for Paris, we have a chance to tour the architecturally magnificent city, dating back to 1128, of Bruges, Belgium. Bruges is located in the Northern Flemish part of Belgium and is a canal-based city, sometimes referred to as the “Venice of the North,” and one of the best ways to see the city is on one of the many boat tours. Another perfect way to experience a wonderfully panoramic view of Bruges is the Minnewater and it’s picturesque park, which are considered to be the entrance to the city. It is referred to as “the lake of Love”, the Dutch word 'Minne' meaning 'love'. There are also many swans inhabiting the Minnewater, which are a symbol of Bruges. Most of the city’s medieval architecture is still intact today. But Bruges’ most famous landmark is the 13th-century belfry, housing 48 bells and there are free concerts on a regular basis. The belfry is located in the Market, which is the commercial medieval heart of the city. After a day of exploring Bruges, the tour group will transfer to Paris.
Day Five: Bruges/ Paris Wednesday, October 13
We leave Bruges and transfer by coach to Paris.
Day Six: Paris Thursday. October 14
After breakfast, participants will have a free day to begin exploring the “City of Lights.” This capital of art, history, romance and culture, will bring out the poet in anyone. You can spend your day visiting some of Paris’s most intriguing attractions, including the Louvre, which contains the world’s largest and most diverse collection of 20th century paintings, sculpture and decorative objects. On the Île de la Cité, you can visit the Cathedral Notre Dame, immortalized by author Victor Hugo. And for the more adventurous, there is the infamous Pigalle Place, the “red light district” of Paris, which houses the colorful Moulin Rouge and the History of Sex Museum. And no trip to Paris would be complete with out visiting the Parisian “City of the Dead” Père Lachaise Cemetery, where you can visit the final resting places of Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison.
Afterwards, we will end the day with a performance by Hot Buttered Rum. This evening’s special performance is only for members of the Rhythm Honey Tours. The show will take place on a tour boat traveling down the Seine River, through “le coeur de Paris,” while the band plays amidst many of Paris’s most treasured and famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, illuminated against the Parisian night sky. Each Rhythm Honey Tour member will be served an elegant meal of traditional French cuisine and champagne. This performance will surely be “une nuit magique à Paris.”
Day Seven: Paris/London Friday, October 15
We will leave Paris and transfer to London by fast train under the English Channel.
Day Eight: London Saturday, October 16
Waking up bright and early, tour participants will have a day to explore the city of London. After breakfast, you can begin with an hour long tour of the Tower of London. Next to the Tower of London is the 19th century Tower Bridge, which offers great photographic opportunities to visitors. The next stop along the way will be at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, built after the Great Fire of London in 1666, and offers a 40-minute audio-tour. After the Cathedral you could move on to a visit of Trafalgar Square, London’s most popular square. Only a fifteen-minute walk will bring you to the most famous clock in the world, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Nearby the Houses of Parliament lies Buckingham Palace, one the most famous of London attractions. And for a truly English experience, step back in time by visiting Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre for a once in a life time theatrical performance. After a busy day of exploring London, the evening will end in a performance by Honey Buttered Rum.
After a busy day of exploring the political, historical and artistic sites of the city, it’s time to discover the other side of London. London has always been known for it’s vibrant nightlife suited to every palate, from laidback DJ clubs where you can have a drink and relax, to pulsating dance clubs, and late night coffee shops, especially in the entertainment district of Soho.
